Submission Guidelines

The Photodermatology Society meets yearly on the day before the annual American Academy of Dermatology meeting to discuss topics related to photoprotection, photocarcinogenesis, photopigmentation, and phototherapy.

This year we are excited to present an abstract competition for residents and fellows. There will be a $500 prize for an abstract submitted by a dermatology resident or fellow which best exemplifies excellent data-driven research pertinent to any area of photomedicine. At the March 7th, 2024 meeting in San Diego, we will recognize the competition winner as well as other outstanding submissions.

We welcome all abstract submissions for the meeting, but only submissions from trainees will be eligible for the competition.

Abstracts must:

  • Be 2000 characters or less, including spaces (font size 10)
  • Begin with the title, authors' full names and institutions' full name(s)
  • If a resident or fellow, state the name of their training program, program director, and project faculty mentor

Please use this provided template.

The deadline is December 31, 2023. Please send to ju.photoderm@outlook.com with The Photodermatology Abstract Submission in the email subject line. If you have questions about the submission, the topic, the presentation, or other questions about the Photodermatology Society session, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Many thanks!
