  • Light based therapies for skin diseases and beyond
  • Diagnosis of light sensitivity diseases
  • Interaction of environment and skin
  • Use of light for improvement of health

The Society convenes a day-long Annual Scientific Meeting, held just prior to the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.

The official journal of the Society is Photodermatology, Photoimmunology, & Photomedicine.

Congratulations to our 2022 Photodermatology Society Trainee Abstract Competition Winner!

Wayne State University medical student Muhammad Osto worked with Henry Ford Hospital's photomedicine unit and presented his research, “Individual Typology Angle and Fitzpatrick Skin Phototypes are Not Equivalent in Photodermatology."

We are excited to continue our annual abstract competition for residents and fellows. There will be a $500 prize for an abstract submitted by a trainee which best exemplifies excellent data-driven research pertinent to any area of photomedicine. Learn more
